Waterfront
Santa Barbara’s Waterfront is less than one mile from the Luxury Beach Cottage and features both a harbor and a wharf with gorgeous beaches in between. On the Waterfront you will find interesting shops and marine related activities such as diving, whale watching, fishing, and sailing, as well as excellent dining.
Downtown
The heart of Santa Barbara is within walking and biking distance at a mere one and a half miles away. Superb restaurants, delightful boutiques, and a lively nightlife fill ‘State Street’ and make for the perfect afternoon or evening out.
Wine Tasting
If you are interested in wine tasting, Santa Barbara is the perfect place to experience it for the first time or delight the experienced palette. With over eighty wineries in the county, you can take the beautiful drive yourself or opt for a pleasurable wine tour from one of the various local companies who offer that service.
Golf
Golf is a great way for visitors to enjoy the year-round warm Santa Barbara weather. There are six public 18-hole golf courses in Santa Barbara and three of these offer championship level play. From beginners to experienced golfers, you are sure to find a course that you will enjoy.
Horseback riding
Santa Barbara also offers horseback riding in various settings from the beach to the mountains. In fact, some of the most beautiful scenery in Santa Barbara can be seen best on horseback. Nearby attractions
Taking a day trip out of Santa Barbara can also be a fun adventure. Solvang, which features a quaint ‘Danish Village’ and a casino, is less than an hour’s drive away. The Channel Islands are another great place to journey and can be accessed by boat trips leaving out of Santa Barbara and Ventura. Los Angeles with all of its attractions is only a short hour and a half drive from Santa Barbara.
